Fitzhugh Jenkins grew up in Hawaii. At an early age he performed with Don Ho and other island luminaries in Waikiki. From there Fitz moved to Boston to study at the Berklee College of Music.

From Boston, Fitz moved to L.A. where he spent ten years as a studio musician. The L.A. Times called Fitzhugh a "spirited musician." while performing at the Los Angeles Olympics.

In 1990, Fitz moved to beautiful Sedona, Arizona, where he currently works and resides.

Lately, he has studied in Paris with guitar master Pierre Bensusan, performed on the Grammy nominated Narada CD, entitled Passion: Music for Guitar, and has opened for top artists, including Tuck & Patti and Alex DeGrassi.
